Curis Resources Ltd. is a private mineral exploration and development company, based in Vancouver, Canada and associated with HDI (Hunter Dickinson Inc.). Curis' corporate goal is to acquire and develop high-quality in-situ copper recovery (ISCR) properties in progressive jurisdictions around the world, and become a global leader in ISCR production and production technologies.
In 2010, Curis acquired a 100% interest in the Florence Copper Project - an advanced-stage ISCR project in central Arizona. Located midway between Phoenix and Tucson near the community of Florence AZ, the company's land holdings total 1,342-acres including 1,182 acres of patented claims and 160 acres of state mineral leases.
Extensive geological, engineering and pilot ISCR testwork undertaken by previous owners indicate that the Florence Project has the potential to be a near-term, low-cost copper producer. Road, rail, power and water infrastructure is all located in close proximity to the property, which also features on-site administration offices and certain facilities for the ISCR production test.
Curis believes there are a number of opportunities to enhance operational performance and production efficiencies at the Florence Copper Project. An initial work program will undertake a confirmatory ISCR production test. This will be followed by a Feasibility Study prior to full production.
